Starting a new website and installing wordpress can be a daunting task for people that are new to computers. Not to mention getting hosting for it all, there is a jungle of hosting providers and services.

Personally I would recommend hostgator as a webhost if you are looking for you first webhost, I have my own websites with their service and for someone starting out the support you can get from them is very good. Wordpress installation should not be a problem either, as they have something called cPanel with Fantastico, that will install wordpress  and other scripts for you with just one click.

There are however cheaper hosting avaible if you think their prices are steep, but these guys are the most reliable I can think off and a good place to start out.

If you plan on hosting many websites I would go for their baby plan, as this allows you to host as many websites as you want. If you go for their hatchling hosting plan you can only host one website but you may at a later time choose to upgrade it.

But if you are planning to host a huge farm of websites I would consider choosing an reseller plan from someone else than hostgator, their prices on reseller plans really can’t compete against the prices of other web hosts.

You can get a cheap hosting plan for resellers over at hostingzoom, their prices start at just over 5 dollars for their cheapest plan. Hostgator’s cheapest reseller start at 25 dollars and this plan is very similar to the one you can get from hostingzoom for 15 dollars.
